Carbon Offset for a Greener Trip and Happy Wildlife
Our Guest Offset & Conservation programme is certainly making a difference. With the help of our guests we’ve recorded over 45 different species of birdlife by the end of 2009. That’s a significant change from the 20 varieties spotted when we opened in 2004! We even got to say G’day to this Blue Tongue Lizard this summer (Sophie loves them!). So a big thank you to all of you who participated this summer and planted trees to offset their car journey and help conservation.
When you return do let us know what you think of the changes on the property and what birdlife you see. The dawn chorus is now better than ever!

Guests donations to our Charity Program
Delighted to tell you we raised over $90 by way of guest donations in return for using our internet facilities. All funds have gone to Friends of the Brush-Tailed Rock-Wallaby to help them with their research to build up numbers of this threaten species in the valley.

Kangaroo Valley Country Show - Last Minute Availability
We’ve just one cottage left for the Thursday 18th and Friday 19th February if you’d like to come down for a real country experience! This is the genuine article with farmers trying to outdo each other over prize bulls, keen cooks do battle over sponge cakes, lots of events from wood chopping to equestrian events and fun fair for the kids.
We’re putting our free range eggs, marmalade and jam to be judged in this year’s show (not to forget Samantha in the Junior Talent Quest singing!) so fingers crossed! It’s a great way to unwind and share in our lovely community’s annual show and tell!
Keeping the Boxing Day Tradition

The kids passing on previously loved children’s books to the Salvos.
Did you know that Boxing Day got its name originally from the old custom of passing on unwanted items to staff and community after Christmas Day? |
