Great activities for Summer in Kangaroo Valley
 There’s nothing like a late afternoon cycle down the country lanes, topped off with a leisurely evening in the gardens. The Kangaroo Valley River is currently superb due to the wet spring (everything is luscious and green in the Valley with waterfalls on all the escarpments), a perfect time to enjoy canoeing.
For those more into lazing than rowing, the rock pools are filled with crisp clear waterfall fed water, perfect on a summer’s day.
What nicer way to spend an afternoon than on a country bike ride...

Turtle Rescue Season!
Sophie and the kids have a new job looking after injured Eastern Long Neck Turtles! They found an injured turtle on the road on Saturday and after contacting WIRES and the vet, were advised to treat his injuries with antiseptic twice daily and feed him cat food. On Wednesday he was well enough to go to the pond – and boy was he excited to be free and healthy! Just yesterday Sophie rescued two more turtles from the road.

Kangaroo Valley Country Show
 The Kangaroo Valley Friendly Country Show is a great opportunity for city folk to enjoy all the great things of a country village show – animals, farm exhibits, rides and entertainment, and great events like wood chopping and hay stacking – all without the crowds!
The 2011 Kangaroo Valley Country Show show is on the 18 and 19th February and Crystal Creek Meadows have family holiday accommodation available - Book the Rose Garden Cottage (sleeps 6) and Fleur Farm Cottage (sleeps 4). Availability as at early December - be quick - book now!.
