Wow factor & general description - The whole wonderful experience begins
from when you make your booking and are sent an attractive welcome pack with
all the information you could hope for including driving directions, a
listing of things to do in and around Kangaroo Valley, welcome letter, day
spa pampering service details and more.
SO FANTASTIC!! -
Upon arrival we were shown to our delightful little spa cottage which was
private and stylish, bedrooms are cream and white with luxury linen and
mosquito nets, gorgeous colours of green and purple in the living area and
private back yard and garden with a delightful outdoor family swing.
Wandering around the property you are struck by the wonderful attention to
detail of the landscaping - in one direction you'll see some Grecian style
urns complementing the view and in another a gorgeous marble sculpture.
They
have created lovely areas to sit and enjoy the view, there's an outdoor
Chess set, BBQ facilities by the duck dam and pathways leading to wrought
iron chairs/tables to enjoy the beauty. The owners are delightful and
extremely helpful and have thought of absolutely everything. We found a
picnic blanket in one cupboard, books about local history, a first aid kit
in the bathroom, tea lights galore.. All manner of things you might like to
look at or need!!
WONDERFUL & RELAXING!! -
If booking the deluxe rate you will arrive to find your Devonshire tea ready
to serve up, your fridge stocked with breakfast hamper (smoked salmon,
bacon, ham, bread, farm eggs, cream cheese, fresh milk) as well as a myriad
of teas, real coffee, a decanter of port, selection of their own handmade
toiletries (using essential oils), handmade spa bath goodies to enjoy in the
spa, freshly cut flowers from their extensive gardens, box of local handmade
chocolates, bath robes and use of their extensive film library. You can use
their telescope to view the night sky. We were also given a gift of an oil
burner, oil, tea light, incense and incense holder and face wash all
presented in a beautiful gift box.
The regular rate includes continental breakfast hamper, coffee and tea
selection, herbal teas and use of the film library.
Market - who would it suit? - Honeymooners, young families, older couples,
anyone celebrating, corporates wanting to get away and unwind.
Cottage & property features - Manicured gardens including a Boulles court,
outside chess set, Fleur Farm Cottage has an outdoor swing, Rose Cottage has
a hammock, both cottages have a balcony overlooking a private garden, they
have a hen house where the fresh eggs come from. Property described above.
Rates - Deluxe room midweek $215 per couple and $295 at weekends, Regular
rate midweek at $190 and $275 at weekends & public holidays. Weekly rates
are available and they are very busy so you must prebook well in advance.
There is an additional charge for extra adults $60 or children $35. They
have two other cottages not listed on their website which are also very
luxurious and more suitable for adults.

Sightseeing & Activity options - Within Kangaroo Valley village there are
some top quality craft shops featuring ceramics and glass wear as well as
stunning woodwork (the rocking horses are amazing!) There's the Pioneer Farm
Museum which is very interesting and has original buildings, machinery,
photos and artefacts etc from the early days. There's a number of vineyards
within the area and the towns of Berry, Berrima & Bowral are lovely mountain
drives away. There are some wonderful restaurants and cafes within the town
and a bakery to die for. The Friendly Inn Hotel has a brilliant beer garden
with views over paddocks to mountains and a very nice and affordable menu.
Further comments - Sell with absolute confidence, this is a fantastic
getaway location which is absolutely stunning and such a short distance from
Sydney. The property is beautiful and Sophie and Chris are continually
maintaining and grooming this beautiful place. There really isn't anything
quite like it in the area in this standard of property. It would also be a
lovely spot for a wedding and/or reception.
